Did you know how using recycled paper helps reduce global warming?

To produce one ton of conventional paper from virgin pulp, it requires:
● 17 five-year-old eucalyptus trees
● 4,100 kilowatt-hours of electricity
● 31,500 liters of water and approximately 7 kilograms of chlorine are released as waste into the environment.
and approximately 7 kilograms of chlorine are released as waste into the environment.
But the production of recycled paper will use used paper to produce new paper, reducing the steps and energy in the production. Producing 1 ton of recycled paper from waste paper will reduce
● Cutting down 17 trees
● Electricity consumption: 1,000 kWh
● Fuel oil consumption: 300 liters
● Water consumption: 20 cubic liters
● Chlorine consumption: 5 kilograms of pulp bleaching agen
● Imported paper from abroad: 25,000 baht
● 1 ton of waste paper
● Waste disposal fee: 1,000 baht/ton

In addition, the production of recycled paper also adds value to waste materials, increasing their economic value andEnvironmental conservation: It’s clear that we can reduce tree cutting, water consumption, energy consumption, chemical use, and waste, all of which contribute to global warming.
